Youth Work

"We offer young people a space where they can do whatever they want. We have found that through taking part in activities the young people feel better about themselves and more involved in their community" - Mark Bishop, Youth Worker.

We are committed to expanding our work with young people aged 8-19 years across Wolverhampton and in providing services to young people , we often work in partnership with other agencies in the community, offering group activities and some one-to-one work.

In Pendeford we provide sessions for the younger age group that offer a safe environment with a strong social element. Young people are also encouraged to take part in workshops to address specific needs.

Other recent initiatives include -

  • A 'girls only' group that undertook a number of community projects to earn funds to go on a residential holiday together. the experience helped them gain self confidence, pride in their achievement and personal skills development.
  • A motorbike project for young people aged 13-19 years. The project covered mechanical and riding skills and explored the law surrounding motorbikes.
